The N1ATP Repeater System

The N1ATP Berkshires DMR Repeaters are on DMR Brandmeister Network.

OK, so call me a DMR Freak! First I got a budget used Motorola XPR8300 back in 2015. Loved the “new” technology and Brandmeister. Living in the woods on the fringe of any other repeater it gave me the freedom of creating my universe. The major mistake I did was to leave this repeater full time on TG3100. It overheated and became a low power hotspot. Still good, but just around the house due to exciter power only. Then a static discharge caused major havoc to the rest of the machine. It’s now a bunch of parts……

By now a Motorola XPR8400 and a HYTERA RD982 had been added to the system and placed in Pittsfield, MA linking to the same TGs as the Otis,  MA system. Both repeaters were located at an average elevation and used locally. The Pittsfield repeater has since been moved to West Otis with mediocre coverage of the town. The HYTERA RD982 is in a go-box and currently on low power in Sayville, NY.

BM TG 31252 has been dedicated to Berkshire County.

Knut commonly monitors TG31252.
