@n1atp. CB still the primary road closing info after major truck crash. Boy don’t i like some of the trucker language!! But CB19 still beats any other tool when traffic is in a standstill. Truckers organized lane use for success.

@n1atp. 3000 miles completed in 8 days. 2 last days in heavy rain. Lots of work. DMR worked perfectly the entire time via hotspot in the car. Received my daily checkins from N2KTO and LA9GHA checking on us.

@n1atp. DMR shines while on roadtrip. Having my own talk group makes it great. Daily a few ham friends would check on us by following on APRS and giving us a call on DMR. Car hotspot is working flawlessly.

@n1atp. Day 5 of driving from Nashville to Harrisonburg was a chore. Heavy rain and traffic made it not so much fun. 9 hrs on the road.

  • Fake News: Belgian News Magazine Misrepresents Amateur Radio Numbers February 19, 2019
The Belgian Dutch-language weekly The Sunday (de Zondag) recently reported incorrectly that just 153 Amateur Radio licensees existed in the country, dramatically proclaiming, “Amateur Radio permits have dropped drastically in 5 years,” and asking, “Where have the radio hobbyists gone?” The error was based on a misunderstood parliamentary exchange. The facts are that 153 new […]
