Lack of Public Service Events Dims Focus

Since public service events during Covid was non-existent and has been very slow in restarting, many of us have lost focus on the cool projects we were engaged in for continuous improvements of our event capabilities.

Combine this with that a many of the organizers are also re-establishing themselves with new staff, we may be in for a back to basic ham radio of an approach – if we are even invited to support the event. Those of us who were pushing into the digital future may have to take a step back since the ham radio community is loosing the established (read old) guys and our next generation hams are back to analog FM.

So how do we fix this? Well… Is your ham radio club growing, staying stagnant or loosing mobile members? Do you have a group of hams with the same focus? Maybe start there.
