3400 Mile Road Trip

Just finished up a 3400mile road trip from LI to SD and back. Each direction was in drive in 2 long days. Where are the road channels these days? Local ham radio is non-existent, CB is dead and GMRS is dead. Have we totally become DMR/D-Star Hotspot people? Or are everyone going back to HF? Where is there a website that lists live/current frequencies by the Interstate? Better yet, which provides networked DMR repeaters for auto-roam? It is dearly missing. Maybe it will become my project for this Falls necessary repeat of June’s trip? Dang!
